You Down? Squat Challenge!! 6

As a part of my hair goal I planned on working out 5 days a week.  Not only because exercise benefits healthy hair growth, but also because when I start my day off with a challenging workout, I literally feel about 100x happier than when I don’t.

Exercising releases endorphins (there are several types of endorphins but the ones released from exercise are like fun, happy, natural drugs in your body :-)) and these bad boys sure make me feel great.  When going through really stressful times, exercising has helped me keep level-headed and positive.

Anywho, I have not been a very good girl when it comes to exercising these past two months.  I decided against getting a gym membership (for cost savings of course) and I tried following along exercise videos online, but ended up doing one exercise and then laying down and watching the rest of the video as if it was a prime-time show.

Well, because I’m super competitive and love a challenge, I’ve decided to do the 30 day squat challenge.


I have a very thin frame, so I’ve never been really pressed about cardio workouts, but I do want to focus on toning my lower half and I’d love to have a 6-pack for the summer.  I’ve also found I’m more likely to do very basic, simple workout routines.  I’d rather focus on one exercise intensely and perfect it than try to keep up with 10 different exercises right off the bat.

My long term plan: Do the squat challenge and hopefully see some positive results. After the month is over maintain doing morning squats every couple of days and move on to a different area, maybe do a 30 day abs challenge next and build from there.

After about 6 months I’ll have a solid workout routine and a sick bod!  I’ll be sure to keep you all posted on my progress and at the end of the 30 days I’ll post before and after pictures.
