  • Financial Goal– pay off all $70,111 of my debt
  • Entrepreneurial Goal– start a business that targets teaching high school students and young adults financail literacy basics and guidance for future stability.  This will include and online video platform as well as opportunities for in-person presentations and mentorships
  • Hair Goal– Grow out my natural hair to my tailbone

I want to achieve all of these major goals in 3 years time, so my deadline is December 31, 2015.

Now that 2013 is almost to a close, I’ve been thinking about what steps I need to focus on throughout 2014.  I want to stay on track with all my goals, so it’s important for me to target small milestones of achievement throughout the year.  Below are my mini goals for 2014:

Financial Mini Goals

  • Completely pay off my my smaller federal loan aka GL1 (approx. $14K balance) by July 31, 2014
  • Pay off at least $25K of my debt during the year 2014

Entrepreneurial Mini Goals

  • Take the GMAT by May 1, 2014 and score in the 95th percentile
  • Revamp my financial literacy presentation and start offering to do workshops with non-profits/churches by June 2014
  • Brainstorm online platform specifics and get input from various groups/people by August 2014

Hair Mini Goals

  • Do a length check video every quarter (I definitely dropped the ball with this in 2013!)
  • Consistently do the CG Method; stick to a regimen
  • Get a trim everytime I straighten for a length check
  • Reach waist-length by December 31, 2014

Of course I expect some of these goals to evolve throughout the year, but I’ll be sure to do a monthly goal check in 2014 to keep you up to date with how I’m doing with my mini goals.  Happy New Year!
