As A Man Thinketh by James Allen, is definitely an oldie but goodie. Published in 1903, this book is a classic on positive thinking and the notion of getting back what you put out into the universe.
It stresses points like, if a person dwells on all of their troubles in life all the time and has a pessimistic perception, they will continue to find troubles and negative outcomes to situations. That’s just how the world will be perceived through their eyes. On the contrary, if someone is more optimistic and sees the good, or hopes and prays (and really works toward) the good things they wish to achieve, they will bring those goals into fruition.
This is a great book; it really illustrates how powerful our minds are and using them for our personal benefit. A lot of James Allen’s content is based on scientific fact, which I really like and appreciate because I tend to be a skeptic about many topics.
Another thing I loved about this book is it’s another quick, concise read. It’s less than 70 pages and you can buy it on Amazon for less than $5. If you have a Kindle you can get it for free (which is exactly what I did.) On a scale of 1 to 5, I’d give this book a 4.5; it’s definitly worth the read!
