9 Things I’ve Been Doing to Become Inspired Again

Over the past few months, I’ve struggled to stay motivated and focused when it comes to my goals.  I used to spend every waking moment thinking about my ambitions and how I was going to achieve them.  I recently found myself in a dangerous rut and it’s been stifling.  Everyday has felt boring, uninspiring, tedious, and cyclical.  I made it a point to think about some ways I could get some of the motivation and passion back at the forefront of my life.

So without further ado, here are some of the things I’ve been doing over the past week to help put me back on the right track:

  1. Rewrote out my goals in life and kept them visible
  2. Made a point to be a little more carefree at work (I’m forcing myself to smile in situations I normally wouldn’t)
  3. Write down things to be grateful for (this really helped turn my negativity into positivity)
  4. Embraced my creativity (writing on this blog has been a huge help)
  5. Talked about my goals and dreams with a few friends and family members
  6. Prioritizing the things I’m most passionate about
  7. Talked with a mentor
  8. Getting rid of things/activities/people that make me happy and making more time for things/activities/people that bring me joy
  9. Listening to TED talks
