4th Length Check – May 2014 3

I finally went to get my hair washed, conditioned, trimmed and straightened at the salon.  I must say, getting my hair straightened in California is awesome because there is so little humidity my hair doesn’t frizz up at all.  I don’t feel like I’m wasting my money getting my hair straightened out here like I used to when I’d do it in Boston.

I can’t say I have little growth because I got a good amount of hair trimmed, and I’m starting to think that the lady that’s been doing my hair has been trimming it to where it’s the same length every time (totally defeating the purpose of growing it out!)  I’ve told her several times I’m trying to grow my hair out, but I still think she’s getting a little scissor-happy as it gets longer.

With this in mind, I’m thinking I may stop getting my hair trimmed and start snipping the ends here and there as needed when I see split ends.  I always feel really bad when I watch her cut my hair that’s in perfectly good shape.  I’d love some suggestions from anyone that’s tried this method!

Without further ado, here is my May 2014 length check video!

  • You should only trim your hair as needed. Regular trims aren’t necessary. It’s a trick. Trim split ends as u see them. It may not be even but u can deal with that later.
